Sautéed Tilapia with Garlic Prosciutto Butter Sauce


  • 4 fresh tilapia fillets
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. prosciutto, minced
  • 1 tbsp. parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. scallions, minced
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. canola oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
Sautéed Tilapia with Garlic Prosciutto Butter Sauce


  • Combine butter, parsley, garlic, scallions, prosciutto, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Stir until evenly mixed and then set aside.
  • Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper.
  • Heat canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the fillets and cook about 5 minutes until the underside is golden brown.
  • Flip the fillets over and spread the butter sauce evenly over each fillet.
  • Sauté about 2 minutes longer or until the fish is flaky and the sauce has melted onto the fish.
